Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This page should be used to help answer some of the most frequently asked questions about our website and how to use some of the features of the site. If you have any suggestions for this page please select one of the email addresses at the bottom of the page and submit your suggestion by email.

Q.) What is First Service's routing and transit number?

A.) 244077682

Q.) I am having trouble signing up for the new E-statements. I get an error message when trying to register.

A.) When registering for the new E-statements the system requires your account number, social security number, birthdate, and email address in the following format:

Account Number - exactly as it appears on your member card (ie. 111111)
Social Security # - 111-11-1111
Birthdate - 11/11/1911
Email Address - someone@yahoo.com

Q.) I am having trouble signing on to FirstCU Online. When I type in my user id and click login in, it just brings me back to a blank login page. Why is it doing this?

A.) This is most likely the result of JAVA Script not being enabled. Enable JAVA Script in your browser window, refresh the page, and try again. FirstCU Online now requires JAVA Script to be enabled.

Q.) I am having trouble getting into my account using FirstCU Online. I receive a message that states I don't have 128bit encyption. What do I need to do to regain my access to FirstCU Online?

A.) You are using an older version of Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator which does not employ the required 128bit encryption. Just update to the most recent version of the browser software and you will have no problem accessing Firstcu Online. For Internet Explorer use: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com. For Netscape Navigator use: http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/download.jsp.

Q.) Why are links to other websites from www.firstcu.com sometimes down?

A.) Links to other websites from firstcu.com are sometimes unavailable for a variety of reasons. These other websites are hosted at locations other than the hosting for www.firstcu.com servers. These links are provided as a convience and may become unavailable from time to time. First Service FCU is not responsible for the content or availability of linked websites. We do review these websites and sometimes add or remove links as their applicability changes.

Q.) How do I enroll for FirstCU Onine?
A.) While on www.firstcu.com, click on the FirstCU Online access button in the upper right hand corner. Then click the log-in button in the center of the page. This will take you to the FirstCU Online website. Click the no No username? link, this will walk you through the enroll process.
Q.) BillPayer - I'm using the BillPayer service from the credit union and just setup several payees that were not on the existing list of Payees. These Payees show in my list as Inactive. How long does it take before they are active and ready to schedule payments?
A.) Normally it will take 10 business days for the Payee you have added to your list of Payees to become active. The fastest way to access a new payee is to search the list of Payees already included in the BillPayer service. These Payees are ready to schedule a payment as soon as you select them to be added to your list. If the address looks similar, but is not quite the same, just call the Payee and ask if you can use electronic payment to the alternate address. Quite often credit card companys accept payments sent to any of several (sometimes dozens) of payment centers.
Q.) I want to be able to transfer funds between two different accounts. Is this possible with FirstCU Onilne?
A.) Yes! Just ask a Member Service Representative to set up a cross account relationship for you between the two accounts you want to have tied together. Remember that you must be a joint owner for this relationship to be setup.
Q.) Can I use third party financial software to handle my finances?
A.) Yes! We are linked to both Microsoft Money and Quicken. You can pull data from FirstCU Online directly to your personal computer.
