Q.) I am having trouble signing up for the
new E-statements. I get an error message when trying
to register.
A.) When registering for the new E-statements the
system requires your account number, social security
number, birthdate, and email address in the following
format:
Account Number - exactly as it appears on your
member card (ie. 111111)
Social Security # - 111-11-1111
Birthdate - 11/11/1911
Email Address - someone@firstcu.com
Q.) I am having trouble signing on to PCU. When I type in my user id and click login in, it just brings me back to a blank login page. Why is it doing this?
A.) This is most likely the result of JAVA Script not being enabled. Enable JAVA Script in your browser window, refresh the page, and try again. PCU now requires JAVA Script to be enabled.
Q.) I am having trouble getting into my account
using PCU. I receive a message that states I don't
have 128bit encyption. What do I need to do to regain
my access to PCU?
Q.) When I attempt to log into PCU, I get a message
stating that my session has timed out and I am not allowed
to login. Why is this happening and how do I get into
PCU?
A.) Microsoft has announced that they have discovered
a bug in their code for Internet Explorer version
4.0 through 6.0 causing this issue. The issue exists
only for those computers where the Content Advisor
has been enabled.
The workaround until Microsoft has resolved this
issue is as follows:
1.) On your computer select Tools on the Menu
Bar (top of your browser window), then click Options.
(Internet Explorer 4.x, on the View menu, click
Options.)
2.) On the Content tab, under Content Advisor,
click Disable.
Q.) Why are links to other websites from www.firstcu.com
sometimes down?
A.) Links to other websites from firstcu.com are sometimes
unavailable for a variety of reasons. These other websites
are hosted at locations other than the hosting for www.firstcu.com
servers. These links are provided as a convience and
may become unavailable from time to time. First Service
FCU is not responsible for the content or availability
of linked websites. We do review these websites and
sometimes add or remove links as their applicability
changes.
Q.) How do I enroll for PCU -
Personal Credit Union?
A.) Select the Applications button on
the left hand side of this page or from our home page
and read the disclosure information and hit the continue
button. You will come to a form. Print this
form out and fill it out. You can drop it off, mail
it, or fax it. You can find all the information
to do these things in our location info page. Your access
to PCU should be completed in 2-3days. After that
you will have access to your account information at
www.firstcu.com
Q.) It has been more than 3 days
and I haven't received a response to my application for
PCU access. What should I do?
A.) If access to your account has not
been setup and you have not received a response email
from the credit union within 3 days, simply go to our
home page at
www.firstcu.com
and apply again. Any missing information or error in your
email address could cause the delay. Don't worry, just
apply again and we'll be sure to get access to your account
setup for you.
Q.) BillPayer - I'm using the
BillPayer service from the credit union and just setup several
payees that were not on the existing list of Payees. These
Payees show in my list as Inactive. How long does it take
before they are active and ready to schedule payments?
A.) Normally it will take 10 business
days for the Payee you have added to your list of Payees
to become active. The fastest way to access a new payee
is to search the list of Payees already included in the
PCU-BillPayer service. These Payees are ready to schedule
a payment as soon as you select them to be added to your
list. If the address looks similar, but is not quite the
same, just call the Payee and ask if you can use electronic
payment to the alternate address. Quite often credit card
companys accept payments sent to any of several (sometimes
dozens) of payment centers.
Q.) I want to be able to transfer
funds between two different accounts. Is this possible with
PCU?
A.) Yes! Just ask a Member Service Representative
to set up a cross account relationship for you between
the two accounts you want to have tied together. Remember
that you must be a joint owner for this relationship to
be setup.
Q.) Can I use Microsoft Money to handle
my finances?
A.) Yes! We are Microsoft Money Certified.
You can pull data from PCU directly to your personal computer.
Just use the current version of Microsoft Money and connect
directly to your account and download your account directly
to your computer.
