The First Service Foundation serves as an opportunity for the Credit Union, its members, and strategic partners to give back to our communities.

Tax deductible donations to The First Service Foundation can be made securely online with PayPal.  You can complete your payment with just a few clicks.  Don't forget to include in the memo field where you prefer your donation to go:
(1) Children's Miracle Network or (2) Scholarships.

First Service Federal Credit Union and its employees have a long history of giving back to the community. The philosophy of “people helping people” stretches beyond our membership and into the communities we serve. Over the years, First Service has been committed to supporting community, civic, educational, and human service organizations.

Employees at First Service are encouraged to support their communities by volunteering their time and talent. Many associates work with and serve on the boards of local charitable organizations, while others participate in events to raise funds for specific causes.

First Service has been honored to donate the proceeds from their golf outings to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  The Foundation also awards $2,000 college scholarships to two graduating high school seniors on an annual basis.

Funds from the First Service Foundation will typically provide support in one of these areas:

Kroger Community Rewards

We ask that you consider designating the First Service Foundation as the charity of your choice for the Kroger Community Rewards program. The NPO number for the Foundation is AY377.  After you're registered, all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Plus Card!

  • Register online at krogercommunityrewards.com
  • Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy and register your card with the First Service Foundation (search NPO# AY377) after you sign up.
If you do not yet have a Kroger Plus card, they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger.



Foundation Scholarships

The First Service Foundation scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who plan on pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university. Applicants from high schools in the following counties are eligible to apply for the First Service Foundation scholarships: Franklin, Fairfield, Delaware, Union, Licking, Pickaway, Madison and Morrow. The recipient will be awarded a $2,000 non-renewable scholarship that will be paid directly to the university the recipient attends. The recipient understands that the scholarship must be used for the 2024/2025 academic year.  If it is not used by that date, the scholarship is forfeited. Students will be selected based on the information the Foundation Scholarship Committee receives from all eligible applicants.
 
Deadline for application receipt is Tuesday,  April 30, 2024.
